Being gay is normal?

His name is Narendra, we call him ND just shorting his name.
We are good friends for a long time and use to discuss many thing often. I liked his views and like to talk him. Every thing as normal as it may be .
then one day while discussing about a girl with him I felt he has no stories about his girl friends about other girls about his affairs about dating etc. He looks smart and is a cool guy, then why no girls and no stories. I tried to find it out.
It was shocking to me. I always felt ND a cool guy a simple and more of all a normal guy, but it shook me when after countless inquiries about girls he said he is gay.
you are joking! isn't it?
I was not ready to digest it.
he kept mum some how I felt he wasn't joking.
Ohh ND what the hell you got into I thought.

Well it was starting I started to discuss him many thing. I wanted to know why he entered in to this type of relationship which is not normal and which is not natural. I thought I may cure him.

its neither unnatural nor abnormal
See ND if a guy loves a gal its natural but if a guy loves a guy I don't feel it natural and moreover every one thinks so.

---you know every thing is in nature for a purpose. if there is a feeling in which some one is attracted towards same sex, its natural because it is there. try to understand. you love women because you feel urge for love with her. if I feel urge for a man that's my feeling and that is pure and natural and normal too.
I kept on thinking.
Then why you guys hide it often.
--------- well there is a problem named section 377 in India. Though this was against un-natural sex meant to protect children from such activities is often levelled on us by police. in fact this is injustice but you know there are many laws without any logic.
My talks with ND went little long. I wish to discuss it later too
